What is a pedicure?
A foot pedicure is a cosmetic treatment of the feet and toenails, analogous to a manicure. Pedicures foot spa are done for cosmetic, therapeutic, and medical purposes and can help prevent nail diseases and nail disordersThey are popular throughout the world, especially among womenBenefit?Summer is right around the corner and first of all of course that comes with a change in wardrobes. People will switch from wearing heavy sweaters, boots and thick socks to short-sleeve shirts, shorts and sandals. Are your feet healthy and ready to come out of hiding rather have them out?The average person takes 8,000 to 10,000 steps a day, which adds up to about 115,000 miles over a lifetime! All this wear and tear on your feet can be harmful if they are not maintained properly.Foot pedicures are a great way to provide basic care for your feet therefore. Here are the top six benefits of regularly getting pedicures.

Early Detection of Problems

Receiving a regular pedicure can help the pedicurist detect early signs of corns, bunions and fungal infections. These conditions are easier to treat when they are identified in its earlier stages.

Decreases Chances of Infections

Clipping, cutting and cleaning of the toe nails prevents them from growing inward and causing infection. The elimination of dirt and bacteria from your feet will also help prevent nail diseases and disorders (fungi) and foot odors. It is also important to keep toenails healthy because they protect toes from trauma therefore keep them protected.

Preserves Skin’s Moisture

A pedicure includes soaks in warm water and massages with oils and lotions that help preserve the moisture and integrity of your feet. Moisturized feet are less likely to get blisters, crakes or other foot problems. It is also important to keep your cuticles moisturized to prevent nails from growing out with ridges or split ends which can cause the nails to lift out of the nail beds.

Exfoliates the Feet

Exfoliation, or removal of dead skin cells, prevents the cells from accumulating and causing bunions or corns, which can be uncomfortable and painful. The removal of the dead skin on your feet, especially on the heel, encourages new cell growth which creates smoother and more attractive feet.

Promotes Circulation

The most enjoyable part of the salon pedicure is the massage. Massaging helps promotes circulation and helps relieve tension in the calves and feet. Increase in blood circulation can reduce pain and help distribute heat throughout your body.

Relaxes the Body

A good pedicure set can be very relaxing. It helps you relieve stress and can be therapeutic. According to the British NHS information, massage therapy eases tension, stiffness and enhances well-being”.

Feet get little care compared to other parts of your body such as your hands and face. Healthy feet are vital to our overall health so don’t neglect them! Whether you go to a salon or you do your own pedicure, make sure to get one at least once a month to health your feet stay in good condition.

Pedicure designs

Planning on getting a toenail art for you? You can paint your toenails just as much as you can paint your nails on your hands. Painting your toenails is simply much easier than painting your nails on the hands since you can use both your hands when painting the nail art. So how can you begin to create your toenail art masterpiece?

If you have an existing polish, make sure that you clean it out because, The price of being lazy and painting over your old pedicure can simply result to uneven colors as well as edges with another polish color on them. You would want your nails to look as clean and even when you apply the base coating.

Make sure that your toenails are just about the right length. Unlike the nails on your hands, the toenails can’t be grown as long since it can rub against your socks or shoes and might even cause infections. That is why you should buff the top of your nails right after cutting them to avoid grazing your socks and protect your toenails. Buffing can also help get rid of residues from your old polish and helps the nails to start soaking up the base coat so that it can avoid staining.

After making sure that your nails are in the right length and look clean, it’s time to wash up. Use your nail polish removers to even out the nails and get rid of residues that you might have not reached in the prior steps. You should also start using your cuticle stick to cut back the cuticles on your toenail. There are available cuticle creams that you can use to make the cuticles around your toes easier to trim.
With all the cleaning done, it is time for you to begin with the polishing and designing.

Things you will need for your toenail art design:

  • – Clear nail polish
  • – Colored nail polish for your base coat and designs
  • – Cotton (to separate your toes when applying the coats)
  • – Small and big brushes (depending on the design)
  • – Clean towels
  • – Reference design (when you are planning on following a toenail art design)

These are all the step we recommend you to do if you planning on doing it yourself and want to try out to create your masterpiece.  Doing nails is very fun and exciting but it can be pretty messy sometimes.

Void all the trouble and have the expert do them for you

HOW A PEDICURE IS DONE BY THE EXPERT

Whether you need to soften up your callused feet or you are looking for a day of pampering, giving yourself a pedicure is the perfect solution. With a bit of time and a little effort, you’ll have silky feet and perfectly polished tootsies that will leave everyone envious.

Pedicure Steps

Getting pedicures is fun and excited but it can be dangerous if you do not know if your nail technician actually cleaned their pedicure tub right. ( actually it is very easy to spot these things) here is how :

I am talking about infections/diseases that can be transferred between customers to customers. Making sure this is taken good care of, you should always get a pedicure if you know your technician use a pedicure liner for each customer/ use a new bag of implement for your pedicure (implements should be cleaned and sanitized in between customers)

All worries are well taken care ::

Step 1#: remove any old polish/shellac

Step 2#: file, shape and buff to clean nail bed and cuticle around toe nails

Step 3#: cut cuticle/ buff again to clean nail bed and get the surface ready for polishing

Step 4#: clean calf and heel

Step 5#: use pumice scrub to clean bottom heel and foot. Once again, this can be dangerous here if you see your nail technician using 1 big pumice scrub for all customers. Pumice scrubs are made to be used once and thrown away

Step 6#: depend the type of pedicure, there will be paraffin wax/ hot stones/ exfoliate and mash. These are awesome!! so make sure you try them out.

Step 7#: is the most exciting part of the pedicure. Massaging, at Bnails , we had gathered and created a massage session that include reflexology throughout your legs such as top, bottom calf/ back, bottom heels/ bottom, top foot and even toe massage technique such as finger walking/ press and push technique.
