How to Remove Acrylic Nails
- Trim: Clip as much of the acrylic tip as possible.
- File: Buff away any topcoat or color to help the acetone penetrate.
- Soak: Saturate cotton balls in acetone, place them on your nails, and wrap with foil. Let soak for ~30 minutes.
- Remove: Gently pull off the foil and cotton ball—the softened acrylic should come away easily.
- Buff: Remove remaining acrylic with a file. If it hardens again, reapply acetone as needed.
- Shape & Nourish: Clip, file, and buff your natural nails, then follow with cuticle oil or moisturizer.
