Acrylic Nails by Bnails: Everything You Need to Know

What Are Acrylic Nails?

Acrylic nails are created by combining a liquid monomer and a powder polymer, forming a hard, protective layer over your natural nails. The product hardens upon exposure to air, resulting in a transparent and durable finish that can be shaped and polished to your preference.

How Much Do Acrylic Nails Cost?

Prices for a full set of acrylic nails vary by Bnails location and service specifics. For exact pricing, please call:

The Bnails Acrylic Nail Process

Our highly trained Bnails service professionals follow these key steps to ensure a flawless application:

  1. Cuticle Trimming

    • Proper cuticle work is essential for preventing lifting and ensuring a better-looking nail.
    • This step should always be included—no extra fee required.
  2. Old Polish Removal

    • We remove any existing polish or shellac to start with a clean surface.
  3. Tip Application

    • After sizing, we trim or shape the tip according to your preference.
  4. Acrylic Powder Application

    • Tip: “Acrylic” and “Solar” nails are essentially the same—Solar is just a brand name.
  5. Shaping & Refining

    • We take care to align your nails properly so they aren’t crooked. Any slight misplacement can affect how your nails look.
  6. Filing & Smoothing

    • We use a machine file to create a smooth, natural finish.
  7. Polish or Top Coat

    • You can opt for regular polish, shellac, or even a clear coat, depending on your style.

How to Remove Acrylic Nails

  1. Trim: Clip as much of the acrylic tip as possible.
  2. File: Buff away any topcoat or color to help the acetone penetrate.
  3. Soak: Saturate cotton balls in acetone, place them on your nails, and wrap with foil. Let soak for ~30 minutes.
  4. Remove: Gently pull off the foil and cotton ball—the softened acrylic should come away easily.
  5. Buff: Remove remaining acrylic with a file. If it hardens again, reapply acetone as needed.
  6. Shape & Nourish: Clip, file, and buff your natural nails, then follow with cuticle oil or moisturizer.
