Dip Nails by Bnails: A Healthier, Faster Alternative

What Are Dip Nails?

Dip Nails (often referred to as SNS, Extreme+, Kiara, Nexgen, and more) were designed as a safer, healthier alternative to traditional acrylics and gel polish. They come without the strong monomer odor, apply faster than acrylics, and soak off more easily than gel—leaving your natural nails healthier after removal.

Why Are Dip Powders So Popular?

  • Odor-Free: No harsh monomer smell.
  • Quick Application: Can be applied in a fraction of the time compared to acrylics.
  • Minimal Damage: Safer on natural nails than many other enhancements.
  • Long-Lasting: Up to 8 weeks of wear, if you choose to let them grow out.

Why Are Dipped Nails Healthier?

Dip powders use cyanoacrylate (similar to medical-grade glue) instead of harsh methacrylates, making them suitable for clients who may be allergic to traditional acrylics or gel polish.

The Bnails Dip Powder Application Process

Our Bnails salons in Lubbock, Amarillo, Hereford, Cedar Park, Flower Mound, and San Antonio follow these steps for flawless dip nails:

  1. Cuticle Trim (Key Step!)

    • We remove or trim cuticles to ensure a clean, extended look.
    • This step is included in your dip service—no hidden fees.
  2. Removal of Old Dip Powder (If Applicable)

    • We recommend a new set every 3–4 weeks for the best value, color flexibility, and longevity.
  3. Prep & Probase Application

    • We apply a special prep solution (Step #1), then Probase (Step #2).
  4. Dip & Repeat

    • Dip each finger into your chosen powder, reapply Probase, and dip again if needed.
  5. Activator & Filing

    • Apply Activator (Step #3), then gently file to smooth the surface and shape your nails.
  6. Wash & Dry

    • Rinse with water—no soap—then towel dry thoroughly.
  7. Finish Gel Application

    • Apply Finish Gel (Step #4) twice, letting it dry in between.
  8. Cuticle Oil

    • Finally, nourish with cuticle oil for a healthy, polished look.

Removing Dip Nails

  1. File Off the Shine: Buff away the topcoat to help the acetone soak in.
  2. Soak in Acetone: Wrap nails in foil or submerge in a small bowl for ~10 minutes.
  3. Gently Remove: The dip should wipe away easily; any stubborn areas can be re-soaked.
